Datadog Log Integration (legacy)

We recommend our latest Datadog integration for a structured, modernized log delivery experience using OpenTelemetry, with extended region support.

CloudAMQP ships broker logs to Datadog via the legacy log-forwarding service. Available on RabbitMQ dedicated instances.

Setup

Get your API key from Datadog → Organization Settings → API Keys.
Select the Site matching your Datadog account region.
Optionally add tags to filter and group logs in Datadog (e.g. env=production,team=platform).

Log format

Logs are delivered as JSON. Example for cluster quick-gray-porcupine with tag env=example:

If service is set as an optional tag it will override the service field above. This applies to integrations created after July 1, 2025.
